Through a unique "chat" feature of the Internet, called the Internet Relay Chat (IRC), McInnis & Associates is able to conduct weekly training sessions for your salespeople, managers, and artists. These sessions are open to all subscribers.

To participate in these sessions, you need an IRC client, which is a small program that takes advantage of the IRC technology. There is an overview of the IRC plus programs for all computer platforms here. We recommend Ircle for the Mac and IrcII for Windows. You'll find them both there.

Once you have an IRC client, you need to do a few simple things so it will find us.

• First you need to adjust a few settings. Information on how to do that is here.
• Then, go up to the File menu and release on Open connection...
• A window should appear welcoming you to irc.dal.net and sharing a few statistics about the server. When it's done, there should be a small window called something like Inputline. Type in the command /join #AdsOnline and press the return key.
• You should now be in the AdsOnline Live Training Room. Anything you type now should appear to anyone in the room.
