Test for Lesson Five: Reserving an Ad

Find out how well you understand the section on reserving
an ad in the paper by answering these questions!

1. Box or group pages are considered by many to be an effective way to strengthen an advertiser's response by grouping him with a number of other advertisers under a special theme. If you're selling ads onto a group page or box page, you would:

Indicate each satellite ad separately
Reserve the parent page first to hold the space
Be sure to exclude all information about the parent page to avoid confusion

2. On the sample reservation form, notice the check box for whether or not your ad will contain coupons. The information is extremely important because:
It's important to group coupon ads all together on the same page
The newspaper will use the coupon to track the response for the advertiser
At no time do we want two ads with coupons to appear in the paper back to back

3. At most newspapers a pickup is the term used for rerunning an ad that has run in your paper in the recent past and:
Doesn't require any changes
Requires some minor changes
Requires some major changes
